IOT Based String Failure Detection and Monitoring System

Solar energy is harvested with the help of solar panels. Many high capacity solar power plants have been installed worldwide. These units face the problems of degradation in power output due to aging, partial shading etc.Monitoring the performance of each panel on daily basis physically is not realistic where the number of panels is huge. We have developed an IOT based string monitoring unit which will be monitoring the solar strings from a remote monitoring room, as it is not possible to move to the site where thousands of panels are located. The system is very efficient, cost effective compared to the conventional monitoring systems.
