Interactive Visualization for Simulating the Movement of Liquids and Gases

Today CAE packages are used to solve a wide range of engineering and scientific problems in many areas of industry and science. Ansys CFX or Ansys Fluent can be used for calculating and simulating of hydrodynamic processes in liquids and gases. The results of such calculations, as a rule, do not have a visual presentation and require interactive visualization. Interactive visualization of engineering calculations is an urgent task in the development of industrial digital twins. This problem can be solved with the help of graphics technology of game engines. This article is about the implementation of the Vector Viz program in Unity. This software system allows data to be represented using a particle system, streamlines, or a contour on a plane. This article also presents the results of computational experiments for a real engineering problem - calculation of the distribution of air flow velocities in the courtyard of a unique high-rise building in the city of Erbil, Iraqi Kurdistan.
