Appearance Monitoring of the Transmission Lines based on Hough Transform

The significance of appearance condition monitoring of transmission line is self-evident. In this paper, Hough transform is used to detect the number of curves in the transmission line image. In the monitoring image of transmission line, the transmission line may be displayed as straight line or catenary line according to different shooting angles, so it is necessary to identify these two typical curves. By changing the threshold, the interference of other lines can be effectively removed. The simulation results show that the proposed method can effectively identify the transmission lines in the monitoring photos.
