Investigation of Corrugation and Bow-tie loading on MMW SIW Antenna Using Higher Order Modes

A Millimeter wave antenna has been introduced which employs mode matching by Coaxial to Substrate Integrated Waveguide (SIW) transition, acquisition of higher order modes for compensating the supplementary reactances due to adjustment of the SIW width, high gain by corrugation at antenna aperture and shaping to the beam directions by means of arrays precisely. So, the reflection and radiation characteristics of the antenna do have a suitable improvement and many drawbacks have been removed with respect to the traditional ones. The appropriate bandwidth for S₁₁ is from 34.7 GHz to 38 GHz (3.3 GHz). This compact type can be employed for MMW band (especially manipulating the 5G networks). The design and analysis are fulfilled with Finite Element Method (FEM) and Finite Integration Technique (FIT).
