2 GHz band triple mode dielectric resonator duplexer for digital cellular base station

This paper describes a novel compact 2 GHz band duplexer using triple mode dielectric resonators for digital cellular base stations, proposing high Q dielectric resonator technique which utilizes TM/sub 110-/x, TM/sub 110-/y and TE/sub 01//spl delta/ modes. We have designed and made a 2 GHz band duplexer using triple mode resonators, where the Tx and Rx bandpass filters that have 6 poles and low insertion loss of about 0.7 dB and high attenuation. Outer dimension of the duplexer is 115/spl times/115/spl times/45 mm/sup 3/.
