Task Scheduling Algorithm for Renovation Teams of Water Distribution Systems

A lack of continuity in the water supply system can have many negative effects on the consumers and the entire water supply company. This paper describes problems associated with interruptions in this process and makes use of the Water Network Tool for Resilience (WNTR) library. This library allows modelling and simulating water distribution process after a disaster event. Using hydraulic model implemented in EPANET, input data such as the list of failures, number of repair teams, equipment available etc. the algorithm helps to determine the order of repairs to be made so as to restore the continuity of the water supply process in the shortest possible time.
