Optimal Integration of DG for Improvement of Economy and Voltage in Distribution Network

In this work, the optimal integration Dispersed Generators (DGs) is accomplished using both single as well as multi-objective optimization for single and multiple locations. The voltage deviation and overall economy indices are considered as objectives for the optimization. The multi-objective optimization is realized through fuzzy decision approach in which, fuzzy memberships are assigned to these indices and a multi-objective function (MOF) is formulated for optimization. In addition to this, multi-objective optimization is also attained through True Pareto based optimization. The formulations are executed by utilizing Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) to achieve the optimum location and capacity of DGs. The numbers of DGs are limited by formulating clusters of buses based on base-case load flow. The suggested methodology is investigated on 69-bus radial distribution network (RDN) for optimal integration of single and multiple DGs.
