Monitoring of inter-channel EEG phase synchronization in patients with traumatic brain injury before and after rehabilitation

The method of the assessment of the inter-channel EEG phase synchronization is proposed. It is based on signal phase calculation at the ridge points of their wavelet spectrogram. For control volunteers and for patients with moderate (TBI), the inter-channel phase coherence of electroencephalogram (EEG) is determined in two cognitive tests. EEG phase is evaluated at the ridge points of their wavelet spectrogram. Phase-connective couples of EEG channels of patients with TBI before and after rehabilitation are considered. The determination of phase-connective couples of EEG signals for the monitoring of rehabilitation of patients with TBI was used. Thus, the monitoring of rehabilitation of the patients with TBI can determine the positive or negative dynamics of a rehabilitation.
