Doppler Radar Signal Model for Sensing Rotaring Drone Rotors

A mathematical model of the Doppler signal reflected from the rotating rotors of the drone is proposed. The model represents the sum of the fractal signal and the modified Weierstrass-Mandelbrot function. The model parameters are selected for a different number of rotating rotors of the drone. A qualitative analysis of real and simulated signals showed that the proposed model describes well the features of the shape of Doppler signals. The conducted studies can be used to recognize the type of drone.
