The guided-mode resonance biosensor: Principles, models, and applications

We address the physical principles, design models and methods, and applications of the guided-mode resonance senor. This sensor modality is effective and economic in a host of practical sensing scenarios. We present diverse GMR sensor embodiments, their spectral signatures, and sensing performance.
