Optical Noise of Interband Cascade Lasers Subject to Optical Feedback

This work theoretically shows that the critical feedback level of interband cascade lasers is around -25 dB. Within the stable regime, the optical feedback has little effect on the relative intensity noise, while the frequency noise is either raised or reduced by about 10 dB.
