Laser-driven solenoidal currents for ultrafast magnetic field excitation

Vector beams and structured light beams are applied to coherent control in a semiconductor, enabling generation of dynamic optoelectronic circuits. In specific, we demonstrate several schemes for controlling ring currents for the purpose of exciting magnetic fields on femtosecond timescales.
