A Wideband MIMO Triangular Dielectric Resonator Antenna with A Simple Decoupling Structure

A two element dual ports wideband triangular dielectric resonator antenna (TDRA) is investigated for wideband multiple input multiple output (MIMO). The design of the proposed MIMO antenna structure includes two probe-fed triangular dielectric resonators (TDRs), and a simple decoupling structure consisting of four metal vias which are properly placed near the TDRA elements. The proposed MIMO TDRA portrays a wide bandwidth of about 67.5%, with transmission coefficient |S21| about 20 dB.
