A Dual-band Antenna With 1-Bit Phase-shifting Ability

This paper introduces a dual-band antenna unit with 1-bit phase-shifting characteristic. It covers satellite navigation band-with of the L and S bands (including the GPS and Galileo L1, BD2 B1, and GLONASS L1) and satellite communication frequencies (uplink channel of 1980-2010MHz and downlink channel of 2170-2200MHz). By loading a PIN diode, the antenna element has a 1-bit phase-shifting ability of 0°/180°. The overall size of the antenna unit is 80mm*80mm *13.005mm, which can be applied to digital antenna arrays in the future.
