Skin Thermal Modeling for Exposure Assessment above 6 GHz: Models Comparison

This study deals with the analysis of different bio-heat thermal models for the evaluation of the exposure assessment at frequencies above 6 GHz, with a focus on the establishment of new safety standards for the 5
^th
generation (5G) of electronic devices. A review of recent analytical and numerical skin thermal models has been conducted and the influence of different simplifying assumptions on the models results has been studied. From the obtained results, some ranges of validity (in terms of frequency and other exposure parameters) of the different hypothesis have been established.
