Elimination of Coating-Induced Mode Conversion By Parameter Selection for Multi-wire System

Common- and differential- mode conversion may be induced by the dielectric coating in an asymmetrical two-wire system, which sometimes plays a dominant role in the transmission line radiation/coulping effects. This paper indicates that such coating-induced mode conversion also exists in multi-wire systems, and could be eliminated by special parameter selection. Two parameter selection strategies are proposed. Both of them are proved to be effective in suppressing currents induced by external field on terminals through a typical four-wire system.
