EMI Source Reconstruction by Using Equivalent Dipoles at Different Height

An efficient method to reconstruct electromagnetic interference (EMI) source by using an equivalent dipole array based on near-field (NF) scanning is proposed. With the help of differential evolution (DE) algorithm, we can obtain the information including position and moments of dipoles. In order to increase the flexibility of equivalent dipoles and improve the accuracy of the equivalent dipole model, we optimize the dipoles at different height instead of at the same height which is used in the conventional DE method. Furthermore, a second optimization is performed where we fix the position of the dipoles, in order to improve the accuracy and stability of the equivalent dipole models. Measurement examples show the final equivalent dipoles can accurately predict the noise coupling between a commercial driver and a victim trace.
