Experimental Analysis of LoRa Signals Employment for RF Energy Harvesting

This paper explores the possible application of unconventional signal type for RF-DC energy harvesting. As the number of wireless devices increases, the device occupied radiofrequency signal density increases as well. In this paper, we have examined the possibility of using a signal from a wireless sensor network communication standard such as a Long Range (LoRa) chirp spread spectrum (CSS). The conversion efficiency evaluation was performed with an RF-DC integrated chip and two cost-effective RF-DC boards with Schottky diodes: one with the matching network, another without one.
