Implementation of Advanced Wireless Communication through USRP for connecting IoT

In view of numerous application scenarios, the research direction should be towards interconnecting IoT and Cognitive World. The real-time implementation helps to come across alternatives to overcome practical difficulties and challenges of IoT connecting the Cognitive Radio(CR). USRP N210 which is a Software Defined Radio (SDR) considered in the experiment as the central unit to monitor various IoT devices. The central unit is capable of receiving the data from different IoT devices such as Arduino with RF Module(433Mhz),Lora SX1276(868Mhz) in ISM Band and FMCW signal transmitted from HackRF One(2Ghz). Though the signals from the devices differ in Modulation, Frequency and Encoding, through software adjustments, all the signals can be received by the Central unit USRP N210. Paper emphasizes on benefits of establishing the communication between the SDR and IoT and also discuss the Challenges. The SDR can be deployed as the relay node for data transfer, during traffic congestion through clouds has been discussed to enable the Cognitive Internet of Things.
