Reactor Strengthening of Titanium Nickelide Modified with High-Energy Krypton Ions

Effect of neutron irradiation on the microhardness and resistivity of titanium nickelide was experimentally studied in its initial martensitic-austenitic and modification with krypton ions states. It was established that hardening and increase in electrical resistance of titanium nickelide are associated with formation of hardened radiation-induced defects under the influence of neutrons and depend on the modification temperature.
