Structure Changes in Metals During Their Laser Treating

A change in the crystal structure of a number of metals in the zone of exposure to laser radiation with a flux density of 104-105 W/cm2 was detected by X-ray diffractometry. It is shown under the action of laser radiation on the surface of metal samples, their crystal structure changes in the irradiated zone from cubic face-centered to distorted (having a parallelepiped shape different from the cube).
