Design and Realization of a Device for the Production of Plastic Filament for 3D FDM Printer

This article describes the design and implementation of a device for the production of plastic filament for a 3D FDM printer. The introduction of the article is devoted to the current state of 3D printing and materials. Next a device for the production of a plastic filament also called a filament extruder is described. The article also deals with the design of individual parts of the device using CAD software with detailed pictures documentation. Finally the implementation of the software and hardware part of the manufactured device is described.
