IoT Framework of Wearable Device for Telemedicine Application

We describe a real time Internet to Things(IoT) framework based on Browser & Server(B/S) architecture in telemedicine application field. Wireless watch type wearable device is used to collect human Electrocardiogram(ECG) vital sign through Android® device. Efficient algorithms developed for ECG data collection, transformation into database, Heart beat Rate(HR) and Respiration Rate(RR) analysis are also described in detail. Meanwhile, validation of heart beat rate is conducted. Statistical result of heart beat rate estimation error is μ = 0.54%, σ = 3.05%, which shows high reliability and usefulness of this framework.
