Structural Safety Analysis of a Steel-Structure Signboard on the Roof of a Building in a University

A steel-structure nameboard is fixed on the roof of the main building in a university. Due to its long history, the steel structure has deteriorated, which results in potential safety hazard. In this paper, a finite element analysis of the steel bracket of the nameboard is carried out through SAP software, and some relevant treatment suggestions are put forward. It provides a reference for dealing with similar projects in the future, and reminds us to pay attention to the safety of university signboards.
