Re-Configurable Graphene-Based Two Port Dual-band and MIMO Antenna for THz Applications

This paper presents a flexible graphene-based antenna for terahertz applications. A single antenna can work as a tunable dual-band as well as tunable multi-input-multi-output (MIMO) antenna. In this proposed technique, two patches are used instead of a single patch. This allows us to use the different graphene chemical potential in a single antenna. The tunability of the two ports is achieved by using different chemical potentials. If both the port has the same chemical potential the designed works as a dual-band reconfigurable antenna. In another case, if the chemical potential is tuned at the same frequency the antenna works as the MIMO antenna. In both the case, the antenna is tunable over the frequency range 1.45 THz to 2.17 THz.
