Research on Improved Droop Control Method of DC Microgrid Based on Voltage Compensation

Droop control is one of the basic control methods to solve the power allocation between distributed power sources in direct-current (DC) microgrid. Aiming at the problems of inaccurate power allocation and unstable bus voltage in traditional droop control, an improved droop control strategy based on voltage compensation is proposed. Because the line impedance and other factors will affect the power allocation, the power allocation coefficient and the droop coefficient are introduced to realize the accurate power distribution among the power supplies. Combined with no deviation control of bus voltage, the principle of translation compensation is used to keep the bus voltage stable at the rated value. Finally, the simulation model is built to verify the effectiveness of the proposed strategy. Compared with the traditional strategy, the power allocation and voltage stability can be improved by the proposed strategy.
