Calculation of Wind Load on Photovoltaic Panel of Solar Power Plant

Photovoltaic panels of solar power plant are often threatened by wind loads. At present, only wind tunnel experiments and numerical calculations can be used to determine wind loads. Both of these methods are complicated, and the results obtained there are no universality. This paper uses the analytical method for derivation, and obtains a simple and easy-to-use mathematical formula that can quickly calculate the wind load, and corrects it with the experimental results. Studies have shown that the wind load thrust coefficient is approximately equal to twice the square of the sine of the inclination angle of the photovoltaic panel, and the lift coefficient of the large inclination angle is approximately equal to the sine of twice the inclination angle. The maximum vertical load occurs when the inclination angle is about 15 degrees, and the corresponding maximum lift coefficient value is about 1.626; the maximum horizontal thrust load occurs when the inclination angle is 90 degrees, and the corresponding maximum thrust coefficient value is about 2.
