Mobile App-Based Early Warning System for Landslides Using Land Monitoring Through GSM

This study is about the development of a landslide early warning system that will send notifications as mobile SMS alerts via GSM module equipped with a mobile application with indications: Normal, Warning, and Danger. Landslide is one of the most common disasters in the Philippines, and usually, it is triggered by environmental factors such as rainfall and earthquakes. An early warning system will be helpful not only in detecting an incoming disaster, but also in promoting disaster awareness and preparedness. This early warning system used sensors which can detect the environmental parameters known to cause landslides. The data obtained by the sensors are then analyzed by a microcontroller which is the Arduino Nano.
