A Secure and Efficient Login and Data Exchange Scheme for an IoT Laboratory Management System

Following the advance in the Internet of Things (IoT), several communication and data exchange protocols are emerging, where the security has become a major concern. Moreover, IoT system are composed of small and resource-constrained embedded devices. These devices are limited in terms of memory, computation, power and energy. This makes them vulnerable to a large number of attacks. Hence, security is becoming more critical as IoT systems automate critical applications, such as laboratory data control. In this work a laboratory management system based on IoT is developed. Investigation on the security and privacy of login and data exchange management schemes are carried out. The proposed security scheme is provided on two levels: users credentials and client to server communication.
