Microcontrollers for IoT: Optimizations, Computing Paradigms, and Future Directions

Internet of Things (IoT) is a paradigm covering almost every area of life, from education to health, from services to products, and from home to smart cities invading any area in which IoT is applicable, like automotive, infrastructure and business. But many challenges remain to be met, ranging from sensor energy autonomy, to data security, to interoperability of numerous objects.
