Configuration of thermal storage tank of microgrid clusters considering thermal interaction

Multi-energy interaction between microgrid clusters is an effective way to achieve energy cascade utilization and improve energy renewable energy consumption rate through energy substitutability. Thermal energy is an important link in the process of multi-energy interaction, but the characteristic of the high loss of thermal energy transmission and storage make it difficult to rationalize thermal storage tank’s capacity of the system This paper establishes a microgrid clusters thermal storage tank configuration model that considers thermal interaction, with the goal of minimizing the total cost of system planning and operation, through the mode of thermal storage tank rental, promote microgrid clusters thermal interaction, reduce thermal loss, improve renewable energy consumption rate, and optimize the configuration of the system’s thermal storage tank. Finally, in the calculation example, the optimization configuration model proposed in this paper is verified by comparing different scenarios.
