Applications of Demand Response on Smart Grids

The integration between end-users of energy and the power grid operator has the potential to offer new paradigms in many power electric systems (PES) that are restructuring in some countries. By implementing demand response (DR) techniques in smart grids (SG), the grid operator can obtain better indicators of reliability and efficiency in scenarios of micro-generation adoption by residential and commercial prossumers (i.e., producer + consumer). This paper proposes to obtain available data using a model based on a training set that involves "Big data" installed in a simulation using load forecasting of small electricity generators, providing an important utility to electric companies and investors in renewable energy generation can be used in new resilient communities.
