Energy-Efficient Coplanar Adder and Subtractor in QCA

Computational circuits predominantly comprise of adder and subtractor. Quantum-dot Cellular Automata circuits are electron repulsion based nanotechnology circuits. Computation and information transmission is done by using cells. The cells are combined to form gates to realize different functions. In this work, different gates utilized in the realization of adders and subtractors are compared based on their energy dissipation. Novel Adder and Subtractor designs are proposed using energy-efficient gates. QCADesignerE is utilized for the computation of energy dissipation and validation.
