Design of Single-Band Rectifier with Self-Tuning Impedance Matching Circuit

In this paper, a wide input power range rectifier with Self Tuning Impedance Matching (STIM) is proposed. STIM contains a capacitor, which is charged by the output voltage of the rectifier at low input conditions. STIM is used to reduce the inductive nature of the input impedance Zin at low input power. The frequency of the single band rectifier is 0.9GHz. Power conversion efficiency is maintained as 50% from -1dBm to 18dBm in the case of rectifier with STIM. In case of rectifier without STIM power conversion efficiency is 50% from 0dBm to 15dBm.
