Flexible Energy Management Strategy For Electric Vehicles Charging Stations

This paper aims to present a flexible energy management strategy for Electric Vehicles Charging Station (EVCS) through the application of a scheduling recharging mechanism. The development is based on the load displacement technique aiming to optimize the EVCS energy costs and the network distribution condition, in order to allow that the EVCS schedules the availability to electric vehicles (EV) charging for the more convenient hours. To obtain the solution were considered in this paper: dynamic energy tariffs, different types of EV recharges, the restrictions on EVCS electrical infrastructure, or the restrictions of the electric energy distribution network in which the EVCS are connected. For this, it was applied a methodology named evolutionary particle swarm optimization that makes a relation between energy cost metrics and control metrics.
