An Object-Oriented Based 3D Model for Substation Monitoring

Since the popularity of unattended 500kV substation, full life cycle management and remote fault diagnosis and monitoring of substation equipment are required. The three dimension data of substation equipment can provide more information, thus the diagnosis and monitoring results can be improved. In this paper, an object-oriented three dimension model is built. With this model, the panoramic information of substation equipment can be acquired. The object-oriented technology has been adopted in the common information model of substation. In this paper, Object-oriented common information model is proposed. In this model, different equipment model is encapsulated in extension packages respectively. Based on this model, a three dimension substation monitoring system has been applied as a feasible scheme to improve the substation fault diagnosis and monitoring.
