Construction of a State Space Model for a Spray Flash Desalination System

In this study, a state space model for a spray flash desalination system is constructed. A linear time-invariant model is obtained for application in the control of water levels in flash chambers and after condensers by approximating an existing model derived from physical laws and thermophysical properties. The behavior of the model is verified by the simulation results. Here, control simulations using a linear-quadratic regulator alongside the proportional integral controllers were performed.
