The Discrete-Time Analog for Switching Event-Triggered Control

This paper presents a switching event-triggered mechanism (ETM) for discrete-time linear systems. The presented ETM can be viewed as the discrete-time analog of continuous-time switching one. Under the framework of switching ETM, the minimum inter-execution interval is larger than the one yielded by common ETM. Thus it facilitates to the reduction of samplings. Moreover, during the inter-execution interval, the sensor does not need to monitor all of the measurement output, which is helpful for reducing the auxiliary consumption of computation. By constructing a switching Lyapunov functional, the stability criteria are developed in terms of linear matrix inequalities. Two numerical examples are provided to show the advantages of the proposed ETM.
