Fuzzy Control of Coupled Differential-Difference Nonlinear Systems with Input Saturation and Time-Varying Delays

This paper is concerned with the fuzzy control problem for a class of coupled differential-difference nonlinear systems with input saturation and time-varying delays. A sector-bound approach is employed to deal with the saturation function, which enables us to obtain global stability conditions. A state-feedback fuzzy controller is designed to globally stabilize the considered system. Delay-dependent conditions for the existence of desired controllers are obtained on the basis of a fuzzy weighting-dependent Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional and the linear matrix inequality (LMI) techniques. The effectiveness of the proposed method is illustrated by a numerical example together with simulation results provided finally in the paper.
