Nonlinear Analysis of Period Pulse Load for Phased Array Radar

The load characteristic of phased array radar is nonlinear period pulse load with various modes. The stability of power supply system is the key condition to ensure the functions of radar. By analyzing the characteristics of array load, the nonlinear model of the period pulse load is established by the state space segmentation method. According to the working characteristics of period pulse load, the analytical voltage expressions are derived. The analytical expressions of the average current and power of the pulse load are derived by the period average method. In order to find the theoretical law between the characteristics and working mode of the nonlinear pulse load, the theoretical results are proposed based on the analytical solutions of the differential equations. The variation laws are obtained on the voltage extremum, voltage drop, current and power. Finally, the results are verified by the simulation. The theoretical results presented in this paper constitute the theoretical basis for the power supply system design of phased array radar. The results provide guidance for the optimization design of nonlinear power supply system of large-scale phased array radar.
