Fuzzy based Irrigation and Lighting Systems for Indoor Farming

Irrigation is one of the most important parts of agriculture. This must be properly done or else it will waste a lot of water. Plant must get apposite water supply, when they require. The factor that affect is the environment. If the temperature is high, lot of water will be wasted due to evaporation and the plant may not be able to get proper water supply. Another problem in indoor farming is lack of light. This paper proposes a system using fuzzy logic to solve the above said issue for indoor farming. The multiple inputs' fuzzy logic system will take surrounding temperature, light and soil moisture as inputs and based on the rules created by the system, desired light intensity, and flow rate are fixed. This will provide proper lighting and avoid the wastage of water. The proposed system is helpful for indoor farming where water scarcity is more.
