Robust Angle Droop Controller based on Pilot Point Voltage Measurement in Low-voltage Microgrid

The droop approach stands out among the active and reactive power power sharing control techniques that do not require communication between Distributed Generation Interfaced Converters (DGICs) in autonomous microgrid. In this article an enhanced power-sharing based on a robust voltage and angle droop controller by keeping the merits of the droop control strategy for power-sharing between DGICs is developed. The robust proposed method uses as a feedback information the online measurement of the pilot point voltage (VPP), this technique allow to accurate share the active and reactive powers between parallel DGICs. The performance of the developed method are tested by simulation experiments using MATLAB®. Simulation results of parallel DGICs are given to check the effectiveness of the proposed robust droop controller.
