Design of Seven-LP-Mode Compound-Index Few-Mode-Fiber for Mode-Division-Multiplexing Transmission

In recent scenario realization of a high-capacity transmission system is one of the biggest challenges in the optical domain. Space-division multiplexing (SDM) and Mode-division multiplexing are the new age techniques those claim to establish high-speed transmission using Few-mode fibers (FMFs). FMFs have the potential to drastically improve the fiber capacity by enabling SDM and MDM.
