Significance of Different Buffer Layers in an SPR Multichannel Sensor

In this manuscript, a multi-layer (Four) plasmonic configuration has been presented. The configuration consists of either SF10 or SF11 prism, a metal layer (preferably Gold), a buffer layer (Tantalum Pentoxide, TaP or Magnesium Floride, MgF) and a sensing layer (water). Based on the design and using MATLAB environment, SPR (Surface Plasmon Resonance) curves are obtained. The obtained curves show that buffer layer in the configuration depicts a vital role in the generation of different Plasmon modes and also for the formation of sensing channel in the sensor.
