Web Application Testing With Model Based Testing Method: Case Study

In this study, it was investigated that model based software tests have higher coverage rate and faster test process on the system tested than traditional software tests. Comparisons of these two methods were performed and reported on parameters of code line number, actual error detection rate, test run time parameters. In the model based test method, the tests were developed by using Selenium library with Graph Walker tool. In traditional tests, modular tests were preferred and JUnit and TestNG libraries were used. As a result of the comparisons with the specified parameters, it was concluded that the model based test reduces the burden of test formation as predicted and is fast and inclusive.
