Numerical Computation of Resonant Frequency and Field Distribution Based on S-Parameters in the Open Coaxial Resonator

As the core components, the open coaxial resonators are widely used in microwave oscillators and amplifiers recently. In this article, a method using the inverse matrix of S-parameter to solve the resonant frequency and field distributions of open resonators is proposed and verified by simulation software for the first time, which can avoid the calculation errors caused by the boundary setting of simulation software. This method is convenient, accurate, and less time-consuming for the arbitrary complex coaxial resonators. It is promising for the design of the transit-time oscillators and triaxial klystron amplifiers in the future.
