Smart Angklung 2 Octave

Angklung is a traditional musical instrument from West Java and it made of bamboo. The limited ability and there are many players to play angklung is the reason angklung instruments are not popular. Traditional musical instrument's diversity is less supported by modern technology that can provide information to the community as cultural preservation. To preserve angklung, so we made a musical instrument innovation, it is smart angklung. Smart angklung played in two modes, the first mode to play notes instrument smart angklung and the second mode to several songs automatically. Arduino Mega 2560 microcontroller program operated through the command android application on the smartphone, it connected remotely with BlueTooth. Then Smart angklung driven by DC motor, DC motor speed regulated using pin PWM Arduino Mega 2560. Smart angklung designed with setting the tempo and approach to the frequency and vibration of angklung played by humans. the results of this study show that angklung can change the way to play angklung from manual to automatic. Smart angklung frequency has an error of 0.49% and smart angklung vibration has an error of 3% and the average smart angklung vibration error controlled by PWM is 1.15%. There is no error in testing the tempo settings played by smart angklung.
