Electron transport in nano-porous TiO/sub 2/ films and its effect on dye-sensitized solar cells

Electron transport properties in nano-porous TiO/sub 2/ films were evaluated by pulsed-laser-induced photocurrent measurements to optimize the films for dye-sensitized solar cells. The films prepared from nano-sized TiO/sub 2/ suspension were annealed at 150, 350, 450, and 550/spl deg/C. Apparent diffusion coefficients obtained for the samples annealed at 550/spl deg/C showed the highest diffusion coefficient. The highest I/sub sc/ value was observed for the dye-sensitized solar cell using the film annealed at 550/spl deg/C, indicating the importance of electron transport therein.
