Test Bench to Measure Electrical Parameters of Automotive Component of an Electric Vehicle by Using Pneumatic System

Development of a test bench to measure electrical parameters of automotive component of an electric vehicle is presented by this paper. The technique which plays a vital role in hardware implementation is pneumatics. The advantages of using pneumatic system over other automated systems are also given in detailed. This paper briefly describes the hardware and software implementation of the test bench. The testing of automotive component is done by using different electrical parameters tests such as low voltage short circuit test, high voltage insulation test and low voltage connection test. The tests parameters and results are monitored and displayed on Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) and Human Interface (HMI) screen.
