Abstract:
An acoustic analysis of various parameters of the voice-speech signal is proposed to produce and to identify objective characteristics for the timely diagnosis of voice disorders at their early stage of development. In the course of the work, the following parameters are explored: amplitude modulation of the voice signal (Shimmer), frequency modulation (Jitter) and the harmonic-noise ratio (HNR). A comparative assessment of voices without phonation disturbance and with signs of dysphonia was conducted. For this, a series of measurements of the acoustic parameters under consideration was made and the average value, standard deviation, and error for each parameter were calculated. For the data obtained, the most sensitive parameter to voice and speech disorders was determined. In addition, the influence of various types of microphone on the received recordings of the voice signal and the values of the calculated parameters was studied.
